Forensic Assessments
At Blue River Counseling & Wellness, we provide comprehensive Forensic Mental Health Evaluations to support attorneys, courts, and related professionals in navigating complex legal matters that intersect with psychological functioning. These evaluations are designed to offer an objective, evidence-based understanding of an individual’s mental health in the context of legal questions.
Forensic Mental Health Evaluators conduct forensic assessments and risk evaluations, presenting their findings to the court through comprehensive written reports. Upon request, they offer expert testimony regarding their assessments and professional suggestions. During the evaluation process, the evaluator conducts clinical diagnostic interviews, evaluates and interprets mental health, substance abuse, and/or behavioral and/or IQ tests, and provides diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and a detailed summary of results and supporting evidence.
